Diamonds are made out of carbon and formed deep within the earth. High pressure and temperature over period of millions of years has made diamonds one of the hardest substances. Therefore, lower quality diamonds are used for industrial purposes. Finer ones are cut and polished for jewelry and have become the symbol of love.

How would you know of the authenticity of the diamond you are buying and if it belongs to the certificate that came with it?
Just like finger prints, no two diamonds are alike, its shape, carat weight which could be measured with a diamond scale. Diamond’s combination of color, clarity, measurements of depth table and other specifications will help a trained gemologist determine the authenticity of the diamond and weather the diamond matches its certificate. Going to a reputable certified appraisal company (and not a local jeweler) which has a certified gemologist on site and its written appraisal is accepted by insurance company is highly recommended. Since most local jewelers would only advertise their own merchandise. When purchasing your diamond from www.toprock.com your diamond comes with Diamond Certificate and appraisal. Appraisals are provided by certified third party companies at no extra cost.
What are the treated or enhanced diamonds? Are they recommended? How would you know if the diamond is treated?
Low quality diamonds with a lot of imperfections could be treated in lab to improve its clarity. In this procedure the diamond under high temperature is filled to cover its imperfections. Such diamonds will be graded as clarity enhanced diamonds. Buying a certified diamond will give you a peace of mind. When it comes to treated diamonds gemological institutes like GIA-EGL-IGI-AGS-GAL can easily determine if the diamond has been treated. TopRock does not recommend or offer customers to purchase treated diamonds. Since treatment could fail if the diamond comes to contact with extreme heat (for example while sizing your ring). Moreover, there is a lack of a strong resale value.
